Madison is situated at the “Gateway to the Driftless Area” and is the perfect jumping off point to 13,000 miles of spring-fed trout streams. Starting 25 minutes west of the city, we have access to picturesque countryside with rolling hills and Goldwater streams teeming with wild brown trout. With access to this much public water, our guests can have a relatively uncrowded angling experience without other anglers “fishing on top of them.” The scenic limestone bluffs and geology produce an abundance of Goldwater underground springs that keep our streams at a constant cold temperature throughout the season. While the area has rolling hills, the terrain around the streams is fairly easy to get around and streams are easy to wade.
