Icelandic Waters With Tom Rosenbauer

For the first time in decades, the area above Blöndulón reservoir in the Northern Highlands is available on the market, now exclusively for friends of Fish Partner. We are thrilled to introduce this new fishery, located south of Blöndulón reservoir, encompassing all rivers flowing into the upper Blanda river and the reservoir. The area features six main rivers and several smaller creeks.

Access to these rivers is limited, requiring anglers to hike along the rivers while fishing. The untouched, wild nature of the Northern Highlands offers a truly extraordinary experience, providing a sense of solitude. The rivers are home to salmon, brown trout, and Arctic char, making them perfect for nymphing, dry-fly, and streamer fishing.

We have selected a combination of salmon beats on the Blanda river and the Svartá and Blöndukvíslar rivers for their outstanding salmon, trout and char fishing. This is a true multi-species trip, however it can be modified should you want to focus on a specific species.
