Description

Enlist the services of Orvis-Endorsed Guide Captain Natalie Vaz on your fly fishing trip to Alaska. Our trips depart from Gustavus, Alaska and Hoonah, Alaska, each with a population of less than 900. Situated just a 15-minute flight away from Juneau, our location is perfect for those who want to explore more beyond Alaska’s capital city without spending too much time in transit.

Natalie grew up fishing in Alaska and started Natventure Tours in 2015 when she was in high school. She loves to help new anglers catch their first fish and help experienced anglers learn the tricks of the local rivers. She likes to ensure that her guests feel taken care of like friends or family, rather than just as a “customer”.

Most of our trips take place on rivers within the Tongass National Forest, the largest national forest in the nation. We access the rivers by boat or truck, then hike/wade to get to the various fishing spots. Guided access is limited to those with a special-use permit, meaning we rarely see any other anglers. However, while people are rare, bears are plentiful. Chichagof Island has more brown bears per square mile than anywhere else on the planet.
